2001 SCRA Rigging Job of the Year Award
Our crane, the VersaCrane™ TC24000 was used to lift a 540-ton brick line furnace. Special rigging, requiring hydraulic equalization and leveling, were presented as a unique solution and were then fabricated specifically for this lift. Deep South’s solution for removing the old vessel and setting the new one in place saved the client 30 days of downtime compared to other vendors’ proposals.

1995 SCRA Rigging Job of the Year Award
Deep South’s Cometto hydraulic transporter self-loaded a 200-ton reactor off of a barge and into a chemical plant. The 200-ton reactor then had to be moved by means of jacking and sliding to go underneath a pipe rack with only 1-inch clearances on the top and bottom. The VersaCrane™ TC24000 then lifted the reactor over a live unit and into place. Short outriggers, a short tail swing, and a mega-lift configuration made this lift possible.
